Rompetrol Rafinare S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in refining, petrochemical, and downstream activities in Romania, Europe, Asia, and America. The company operates through two segments, Refining and Petrochemicals. It offers gasoline, diesel fuels, aviation fuel, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, propane fuel, light and heavy liquid fuels, fuel gas, petroleum coke, propylene/propane-propylene mix, petroleum sulphur, ecological solvents, N-hexane, naphtha, aromatic extracts, white spirits and petrol, road and special bitumen, and polymer modified bitumen, as well as petrochemical products, such as polypropylene, and high- and low-density polyethylene. The company is also involved in the fuel storage and transportation, quality control, fuel and lubricant retail trade, electricity distribution, drinking water supply, and wastewater treatment activities. It exports its products. The company was formerly known as Petromidia. Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Navodari, Romania.
