Colbún S.A., together with its subsidiaries, operates as an electric energy generating company. The company engages in the production, transportation, transformation, distribution, and supply of energy, electricity, and natural gas. It offers renewable energy plants, photovoltaic, reservoir, and run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plants; solar photovoltaic projects; and thermal power plants, as well as energy management system, and electricity supply contract. The company also provides renewable certification, energy supply contract, energy management system, electric power upgrades, photovoltaic self-consumption, energy billing management, sustainable building certifications, electro-charger, online monitoring and control of energy consumption, energy audits, energy storage, heat pumps and air conditioning system, and automobile billing solutions. It serves various sectors, that includes mining; pulp, paper, wood, and cement; industry and manufacturing; agroindustry and food industry; fishery and aquaculture; sanitary; ports and harbours; commerce and retail; telecommunications; education; health; hospitality; warehousing and offices; and real estate and commercial building. The company was incorporated in 1986 and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.
