Trois ont été touchées par des balles réelles et se trouvent dans un état critique."Elles doivent être opérées en urgence et sont dans un état critique", a précisé un docteur de l'hôpital où elles ont été transportées.Les journalistes sont également de plus en plus visés par la répression. Quelques heures avant la manifestation, un journaliste birman, Kaung Myat Hlaing, a été arrêté à son domicile lors d'une opération musclée des forces de sécurité, selon son employeur Democratic Voice of Burma (DVB).
