The global pre-lit disposable vaginal speculum market is expected to reach US$ 309. 00 million by 2027 from US$ 235. 01 million in 2019; it is estimated to grow at a CAGR of 3. 6% from 2020 to 2027.

New York, Nov. 20, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Reportlinker.com announces the release of the report "Pre-lit Disposable Vaginal Speculum Market Forecast to 2027 - COVID-19 Impact and Global Analysis by Application ; End User, and Geography" - https://www.reportlinker.com/p05988384/?utm_source=GNW

Factors such as the rising prevalence of cervical cancer, growing emphasis on tracking women’s health and rising awareness to overcome the growing rate of gynecological diseases boost the market growth. However, the complications and low acceptance associated with gynecological procedures hinder the pre-lit disposable vaginal speculum market growth.

Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancer types among women in Asia and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in low- and middle-income countries.National screening programs for cervical cancer are widely being provided in Asian countries; for example, the National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP) is being conducted in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Thailand, among others.

The All-China Women’s Federation and the Ministry of Health launched the "Two Cancers" (cervical cancer and breast cancer) examination project in July 2009, which has implemented a free screening program for rural women from the age group of 18-65 publicity, health education, and examinations. In 2017, The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India launched the Operational Framework for the Management of Common Cancers, which includes VIA in primary care settings across India.

Further, in 2018, the national-level training for the mobile technology platform for cervical cancer screening-launched by the Ministry in 2016-was widely implemented, including ~12,000 healthcare providers across 24 countries. This mobile healthcare system supports the implementation and continuous monitoring of the screening program in each state.

In 2018, the Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) developed resource-based guidelines to advise the best screening strategy according to the available resources as well as to direct follow-up processes and screen-positive case management.

Further, in the UK, the National Health Service (NHS)-under its NHS Cervical Screening Programme (NHSCSP)-developed a systematic, quality-assured population-based screening program for eligible women, with an aim to reduce the cervical cancer incidence and mortality.Since its introduction, the screening program has helped to reduce the number of cervical cancer cases to half.

During 2014-2015, ~3.1 million women were screened in England, and it is estimated to save ~4,500 lives per year in the country.

On the basis of application, the pre-lit disposable vaginal speculum market was segmented into surgery and diagnosis. In 2019, the surgery segment held a larger share in the market ; and the market for the same segment is expected to grow at a greater CAGR during 2020-2027.

The growth of the market for this segment is attributed to the incessant rising cases of cervical cancer. For instance, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer is the fourth most commonly found disease among women, and ~570,000 cases were registered globally by the end of 2018.

In addition, the demand for pre-lit disposable vaginal speculum is growing in the majority of surgical procedures such as vaginal hysterectomy, dilation, and curettage, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and intrauterine device (IUD) placement.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), WHO, European Union (EU), Association of Academic Professionals in Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and National Health Service (NHS) are a few of the key secondary sources referred to while preparing this report.
